1. PP (Polypropylene), include OPP (Oriented Polypropylene), BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene), CPP (Casting Polypropylene), etc.
PP film is used for many common packaging applications such as cigarette, candy, snack and food wraps. It also can be used for shrink wrap, tape liners, diapers and sterile wrap used in medical applications. Because PP has only average gas barrier properties, it often is coated with other polymers such as PVDC or acrylic which greatly improves its gas barrier properties.
2. PE (Polyethylene), include LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene), HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), LLDPE (Linear Low Density Polyethylene), etc.
PE is the most widely used commodity thermoplastic. We mainly use LDPE and LLDPE. Both LDPE and LLDPE films are used for similar applications, including stretch- and shrink-wraps, bags, liners, and packaging films. Both find uses for countless produce and applications including carryout bags, candy wrap, food packaging, trash and can liners, grocery bags, bubble packaging, overwrap and envelope films, industrial liners, shipping sacks, mattress bags, and agricultural and construction film.
3. PET (Polyester), include OPET (Oriented Polyester), BOPET (Biaxially Oriented Polyester), KPET (PVDC+PET)
PET film is often an excellent choice for more demanding applications in food and nonfood-film applications. Major uses include microwave, and medical packaging, plastic wrap, tape backing, printed films, plastic cards, protective coatings such as solar and safety window films, release films, transformer insulation films and flexible printed circuits. PET is also used as an aroma barrier film (e.g. coffee and tobacco packaging)
4. PA (Polyamide), BOPA (Biaxially Oriented Polyamide)is the most common film. It is always laminated with other film, PA/PE, PA/PET, KPA
It is mainly used as a flexible packaging film for food sensitive to oxygen and is chosen when high mechanical strength, high melting point, transparency, and good oxygen barrier is required. but is not sealable so is often combined with other polymers to provide a sealing layer. Because of its higher price relative to PVC, PE, and PP film, it is generally considered a specialty film.
5. Aluminium Laminated Bags, include VMPET (Metallized PET), VMCPP (Metallized CPP), Aluminium Foil Film
Aluminium Laminated Bags have great seal abilities, and good chemical and water resistance. Its advantages are excellent as they are shining, opaque, with good oxygen barrier, well formed, and maintain fresh the content with long-term preservation. Aluminium Laminated Bags can be used on beverage packaging, tablet packaging, coffee bags and snack food packaging, as well as biomedical packaging, etc.
6. Kraft Laminated Bags
The outside of Kraft Laminated Bags is like that of the ordinary brown kraft bags. The inside is fitted with an OPP foil or transparent film which forms an extra protective barrier against damp, air, or grease. These bags are suitable for coffee, tea, chocolate, flour, and other foodstuffs which need to be stored longer. Brown laminated foil lined bags are available in various sizes.
